• Sharda University’s much-hyped autumn cultural fest was held at Greater Noida campus from November 11th to November 18th.
  • The 3rd edition of Inter School Competitions was lined up with a diverse conglomeration of 60+ cultural events, sports activities, a broad spectrum of fun activities and a few workshops.

The most exciting annual Inter-School Competition ‘Autumn Festival 2016‘ which was organized by the Student Activity Council composing Technical, Cultural, Sports and ISMUN Society of Sharda University, finally ended on an incredibly energetic note. For students, it was definitely a ‘never-to-miss opportunity’ to steal a moment from their monotonous lifestyle and flaunt their hidden talents.

Started as a traditional cultural festival two years back, Autumn Festival 2016 has already established itself as one the most enthralling festivals celebrated in the Greater Noida campus of the Sharda University to provide an academically and culturally stimulating atmosphere to the students. It was conceptualized as a remarkable happening to platform the young talents while adding the real spirit of celebration topped with great zeal. The previous years of the Grand-Fiesta have witnessed a fantastic participation of over 1500 students from all the schools of the university.

This year, the Autumn Fest 2016 was organized on a better and bigger level. The first day of the event started with the inauguration followed by a parade where the students of all schools gathered at Greater Noida campus and set their respective flags high to signify their involvement and their urge to win the Sharda Cup. It was a sight to behold and added a spark to the competition. There was the happy aura followed by a high amount of rejoice among all the students.

The second day of the ongoing ‘Autumn Fest 2016′ extravaganza, which was hugely popular with the student community in the entire campus, started with a great enthusiasm. It gave a strong foundation to the talented students who actively participated in different events in a true spirit of sportsmanship to reach the top of the table talent.

This 3rd edition of Inter School Competitions, the Autumn Fest has received a huge involvement from different schools and departments of Sharda University. Thus, it accomplished the real purpose of the University behind organizing such cultural fest i.e. to develop a healthy relation between the students and help them discover their talents from the cocooned existence.

At the recently-held seven-day-long extravaganza, the students enthralled with a miscellaneous number of lined up events such as Cosplay, Indian Solo Singing, Digital Creativity, Stand-up Comedy, Graffiti, Mimicry, Folk Group Dance, Mime, Skit, Rap wars, On Spot Photography, Face Painting, Ink Blot, Frolic Wars, Short Film Making, Phos Graphos, and Elocution.

The Autumn Fest 2016 had a plethora of cultural events coordinated by various sports activities as well. Events like basketball, volleyball, football, cricket, badminton, tug-of-war, 100 meters dash, shot put, discus throw, javelin throw, chess, and kabaddi had attracted talents and received a greater response from the students than its predecessors.

On the last day of Autumn Festival 2016, the best of the university’s cultural talent was rewarded with amazing prizes, certificate of appreciation and tons of admiration. It was a huge celebration of culture and sport activities that provided a constructive environment to the students. The 3rd edition of fun-filled annual Inter-School meet wrapped up with a grand closing ceremony and attracted an all-time high attention.
